Our Company

The New Midwest Machinery

It is my pleasure to introduce you to the New Midwest Machinery Company. Most of you know us as "The Marley Guys" or "The Cooling Tower Experts". The "Old Midwest" was established in 1923; we were the first Representative for Marley Cooling Towers and are the oldest Cooling Tower Rep in the world. We are in our 83rd year of business but we are truly a brand new organization with a new team, new capabilities and new products. We invite you to

"Experience the Difference "

What's new? We are much more than just "The Cooling Tower Experts"! We have become your most complete source for Hydronic systems including Marley Towers, Armstrong Pumps & Heat Exchangers, LAARS Heating Systems, Climate Master Water Source Heat Pumps, Peerless Pumps, PEP Water Filtration and GE Betz Water Treatment. We've most recently added Winters Instruments, and Square D Automation.

Soon we will be making announcements about a new chimney line and a new controls line. It sounds like a lot (and it is), but they all work together in the same system providing you with single source supply and responsibility. We do more than just "sell" these fine products; we provide solutions. That is what the New Midwest is all about - We are your solutions company.

We have put together the best products and a great team of talented people with the drive and will to be the very best ally to the building owner, the design engineer, the contractor and everyone involved in the selection, installation and service of the heating and cooling system in commercial, institutional and industrial facilities. Our qualified team can handle all aspects of a project, providing the best recommendations for price, reliability, operation and installation ease.

Midwest's Mission
"We are committed to developing and facilitating new capabilities for our customers and ourselves. We will provide innovative and quality products to our customers at outstanding value. We will outperform our competition with exceptional knowledge, value and service, before, during and after the sale."

This is still our Mission and we are accomplishing it. We have the world's largest inventory of cooling tower parts, a large inventory of Armstrong Pumps and parts, and a growing inventory of Boilers, Water Heaters and Instruments.

Our team includes Troy Gladstone - VP of Sales; Mike Todd - Sales Engineer; Bob Stortz - Sales Engineer; Ann Sowards - Inside Sales and Project Manager; Rachel Flotten-Project Manager; Bob Gladstone, III - VP of Service and Construction; Mike Bandowski - Field Service and Construction Manager. In addition to them, our Administrative, Accounting and Warehouse Teams are ready to help you "Experience the Difference " through the New Midwest Machinery.

Experience the Difference

Our primary goal for 2006 is for you, our customer, to see us in a different light. Going forward all of our publications and correspondence will carry our new theme, "Experience the Difference"

We believe our market is ready for an alternative to the old way of doing things. Its ready for a different level of customer service, new ideas, more innovative products and a better understanding of the System. In this issue, we discuss how our new intense focus on customer service will cause you to "Experience the Difference"

Truly Outstanding Customer Service is more than answering calls quickly, knowing your products and meeting deadlines. Everyone attempts to do that. Its not enough. To be the best, we want to invest resources into your company that will, expand your knowledge and increase your understanding of the System. Borrowing a line from a local retail clothing store, we believe "An Educated Consumer is our Best Customer". Future issues of this newsletter will contain more technical "White Papers" discussing items that impact system design, efficiency and maintenance.

In a couple of months we will roll-out our new interactive website containing links to past newsletters, a thorough on-line reference library and on-line equipment selection. We are interested in your ideas as well! If you have a tough application or want to know more about a certain topic, let us know with an email to info@midwestmach.com. Well research it and put the results in our next newsletter or post it on-line. Ultimately, we want to be your most valuable source for information not just on cooling towers, pumps and boilers, but on the overall system.

On the more practical side of customer service, we have upgraded our computer and accounting systems; we've added more team members dedicated to customer service; and are implementing new procedures to ensure your needs are met quickly and accurately. We will eliminate surprises and ensure you are always aware of your projects status. Ann Sowards and Rachel Flotten have recently been added to our project management team. They will help ensure someone is always around to assist when you need it.

These are just some of the changes that are making a difference in our company. Stay tuned for more.
